The Rochester Theater Organ Society has lost one of its founding members. Danny Schultz at age 96, passed away on February 22, 2025. Danny was the key individual that worked to get the RTOS Grierson Wurlitzer for RTOS when the RKO Palace was closed and worked with many others to have the organ reinstalled in the Masonic Auditorium Theatre, now the West Herr Auditorium Theatre.
The Rochester Theater Organ Society is sadden to announce the passing of Russ Shaner. Russ fulfilled many roles at RTOS from Board Member, to Maintenance Leader on the RTOS Grierson 4/23 Wurlitzer, Publisher of the “RTOS Blower” newsletter and Program Chairman. A memorial program is scheduled for Sunday, July 13, 2025, details will be posted when arrangements have been completed.
